Dad's Good Friend

Last two days, dad's best friend of college and his son came to Chung Cheng. I am the one who stay along with them and bring them around. There were lots of things that impress me!

I heard from dad that uncle Wang have been taking dialysis for the past thirty years. It is said to be a miracle for one who lost his kidney function to live that long. In addition, his bad situation made him unable to work for ten years.

It is unbelievable for me to accept the fact that uncle is that sick. However, I can see from his actions that he is getting tougher this two years. He walks hardly and he is humpbacked now. While eating lunch and dinner, he had to take various medicine at the same time. The reason for him to stay in Chiayi two days only is that he have to go back to Taipei to take dialysis. Others might not think he is younger than daddy.

Fortunately, uncle's son Ken is real considerate and outstanding. Since Ken have faced the fact that his dad is seriously sick when he was still young, he is more mature than the kids of the same age. He studied hard and is accepted by National Taiwan University this year. I am impressed by Ken since I have seen him and take care of him since he was in kindergarden and I was in elementary school. Though confronted the pressure of competing with others in Taipei and the illness of his father, he kept his own points of view. To him, studying is not the only thing of senior life. He also took part in the association of graduating and other activities. I believe that he has come over more difficulties. Hopefully, he looks optimistic and have more dreams to fulfill.

A good man is suggest to live longer. I hope that uncle Wang and his family can live on well. They are sincere and pure people. God bless them!!
